Why?

I got this video from another blog and it touched me. This story is about a young husband and father who has stage 4 colon cancer. This could be any of our husbands. Though death is looking him in the face, his faith in God is unwavering. I'm passing on his story in hopes that his life can touch as many people as possible, because he is what truly defines strength. God bless!

Hello sunshine!

Hi there! The past week for the most part has been beautiful-weather wise. Sunshine just makes me sooo happy! I hope it continues and hopefully we can say goodbye to winter for a while. I am so looking forward to summer...

Google is the devil and book du jour

If you know me, you know i can be somewhat of a hypochondriac =) And who is a hypochondriac's best friend? Google. Well, it is also an enemy in my opinion. I can spend an hour perusing Google. Sometimes i get on and off in a few minutes because i find the answer i like and leave it at that. Other times, i search and search until i can find the most horrible scenario possible, and then am convinced i have that. Just ask my husband =) I have told him jokingly that he should block google from my laptop so that i can never ever look at it again. But knowing me, i would get on his desktop...or laptop...or my iphone. I would find a way. I write this post after spending an hour on google doing this very thing. I won't bore you with what i think i have today. That may be a different post entirely! That is where i come to the conclusion Google is the devil. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

While i'm not scouring the internet trying to find the worse news ever, i'm doing lots of reading. My current book is Dear John. A co-worker lent it to me and i'm excited to get started! I haven't seen the movie yet because i wanted to read the book first. If you love Nicholas Sparks you will love his most recent: The Last Song. I bought it a few months ago and loved it! Now, i'm not much of a crier when it comes to books, but i bawled in this one! I highly recommend it, and i hope the movie that is coming out will do the book justice.

I just finished two of Lauren Conrad's books that my good friend gave me for my birthday. LA Candy and Sweet little lies. I liked them both. I thought that reading them would be like an episode of The Hills since it's loosely based on her life. But surprisingly, i got really into the characters and plot and didn't think anything of The Hills while reading it! I'm pretty sure that there will be third book from the way the second book ended. Either that, or the second book's ending was the worst one ever since it left me hanging!

catch-up

I had one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. And we didn't even do anything big! It was sunny, and i didn't work, so we just did random stuff all weekend, and it was perfect =)

We went to the park and took some shots down by the river. It was Brea's first time at the river, and watching her figuring out what it was, was hilarious!

Here is the card i was talking about in my last post. Isn't the card so cute?! I didn't do anything that creative for my wedding!

I've been reading some good books lately that i will write about in another post. Almost done reading them, then am on the look out for some new books, any suggestions??

Four quick thoughts for Friday...

It's a good thing i don't work all weekend because i have not slept all night! So what's a girl to do? Naturally update her blog! Here are my random thoughts for the day...

- I need a blog makeover. I like how my blog looks, but i don't love it. I've been scouring the internet world and have found some people who do blog makeovers. I'm thinking of going that route. I have done all i can by myself to try and make my blog better, but let's face it, i think i've come to end of the road on what i can do myself. So i may invest in someone who actually knows what they're doing! Who knows, stay tuned to find out!

- Last night was TV heaven for me! Let's see, real housewives of the oc AND new york (double dose=fabulous), The Office baby, grey's anatomy and private practice. Needless to say i spent the night on the couch, and loved every minute of it!

- I'm excited to take some pictures today. Hopefully we get another sunny day, i would love to take pictures outside.

- A good friend of mine asked me to be her bridesmaid and i'm so excited! She gave me the cutest card, i will have to post a picture. The wedding is this October, i'm sure it'll be here before i know it!

Once again, it's a pictureless post. I've been lazy, but i promise that i will get back on track soon!
