Can't it be May already?!

Yay! I'm so excited for our vacay coming up in May! For our one year anniversary, we are going to all four pictured above! We bought a city pass and it includes all four, such a great deal! We already bought our plane tickets and hotels. All we have to do is rent a car (to shuttle between anaheim and san diego) and find a boarding place for Chase and we are set! I've never been to any of these places ( i was told i went to Disneyland when i was little but of course don't remember it!) so i am super excited! I'm deathly afraid of heights, and anything really fast like rollercoasters, so not sure what all the rides i can go one are. I will have to research it. Has anyone been? Does anyone have any suggestions on rides i can go on that i won't pass out on?!

My bebe

                                                            Look at those puppy eyes!

So i just realized that my blog name is wilde zoo and i don't put up many pictures of the animals that make up this zoo. I really want to change the title of my blog soon but haven't come up with a good one yet. I love looking through old pictures of Chase b/c he's just a bebe! This was his halloween costume the first year we got him. You can tell how much he loves it. We took him to Petsmart b/c they had a costume contest. He's supposed to be a WSU football player. It's not in the picture, but for the contest we put my black eyeliner under his eyes. Apparently that stuff is a pain to take off of fur b/c we scrubbed and scrubbed it and it wouldn't come off! Poor guy! It took a couple days before it finally came off on it's own. Anyway, i have MANY cute pictures of Chase. I have lots of the cats too, but they aren't as fun to photograph b/c they don't do funny expressions like chase does. They just lay there. haha!

Craft heaven...

Craft heaven=Michaels or Craft Warehouse. Today it was Michaels. My wonderful co-workers gave me a gift certificate to Michaels for my birthday. So today i dragged Justin there and went crazy! I just had to take a picture of all my goodies! If you can't tell, the stickers are all laying on top of an album i got. I got an idea to make a card album. A while ago i was looking through all our wedding cards people gave us and was thinking of a place to store them. I couldn't throw them out. Even just reading them a few months ago made me smile as i read them all. I was thinking of how cool it would be to read them years from now, so i had to find safe keeping for them. So that is my current project. I'm almost done with it, just have to head back to the craft store to pick up more glue since I ran out! All these stickers i bought are not just for this card album. I went sticker crazy, and bought stickers for other albums i plan on working on in the near future. Stay tuned!

Birthday surprises

What a great Valentine's Day and birthday i had! I worked all weekend long =( so i slept most of the day. But when I got home Vday morning, Justin had the house full of cards, flowers and candy. Then for my birthday morning when i got home from work, the house was decorated in birthday banners and balloons! Some of my family and friends surprised me at work with beautiful flowers, balloons and presents. I must have been a sight leaving the hospital with my arms full of flowers and balloons! As you can see from the picture above, my house will be full of good smelling flowers for a while!
A co-worker of mine share the same birthday so we had a birthday bash at work at 1 in the morning! I stuffed myself full of sweets and chocolates all weekend long. We had a baked potato bar and for dessert had HUGE delicious cupcakes from Costco with probably one of the greatest ice creams i ever had! So needless to say that i was at work all weekend, it was probably one of the best birthdays I've had! I felt very loved =)
So now I'm another year older, and hopefully another year wiser =) Hopefully it will be a great 26!

Crafty me...

So as i mentioned in a previous blog, i have been feeling very crafty lately. Not sure how long it is going to last, but i figured i should take advantage of it while i can! I just finished our honeymoon album that i scrapbooked last week. I feel very pleased with it and love the way it turned out. It was fun but it is exhausting being creative =) Up next is the wedding scrapbook but  I will take a break before I start doing that one. I have a lot of ideas in my head for the wedding one so i can't wait to put it together. Hopefully it comes out the way i want it to!

One more thing...

I wanted to share these cute little flower headpieces i made for the babies in our unit. I've been feeling very crafty these past couple weeks and have been busy scrapbooking. But i found something on someone else's blog similar to these and thought they were so cute, so i challenged myself to make some! I think they turned out good for my first try! The one above the black one has more of a pinkish color to it, but in the picture came out turning orange. I love taking pictures of the babies in the unit for their parents and i think the flower headbands will make the picture that much cuter!

happy juice...

This is what i feel like doing now...sleeping! This is Chase when he was younger and what him and i both spend many of our days doing...sleeping! So i am hoping to start blogging a lot more, could be a kind of journal for me =)
Had my endoscopy this morning...and wow, versed and fentanyl are great stuff! The last time i ever had any kind of procedure was when i was 16 and had knee surgery and had mild complications from anesthesia when i was at home. So i was a little scared about this, even though it was conscious sedation. After the nurse gave me the versed, i could feel myself starting to feel drowsy, kind of like fighting sleep. And then when she gave me fentanyl, i don't remember anything from then on! They didn't find an ulcer, which i was most worried about, but they did find other things. The dr. said i had a "lazy stomach"a.k.a gastroparesis. Which just means my stomach is slow to empty food. I was out of it when the Dr. told this to Justin and I, so hopefully next time i meet with him, i could fully understand what he said =) Will have to do some xrays later on to fully understand how exactly my stomach is emptying, but it should just be diet modification. Will probably just have to concentrate on eating foods that aren't hard for my stomach to break down...and lastly, he found a small hiatal hernia. And that i guess is nothing to worry about, unless it somehow gets bigger later on. He said many people have small ones and don't even know about it until they scope them to look for other things (like me). Bur hopefully when i meet with them again i could get more specifics. I guess they did a biopsy just to make sure there's nothing else going on, so pray that that turns out OK!
