It's the new Jodi Picoult book. Amazing. If you've never read anything by Jodi Picoult...you should start! She's the one who wrote My Sisters Keeper. Her books are mostly about ethical situations, and a lot of them deal with medical issues...maybe that's why I love it? (Because I'm a nurse).
This particular book has everything in it. It has miscarriage/stillbirth, law, church, medicine and a few other hot topic debates I won't divulge in. I don't want to give it all away : ) I couldn't put the book down...now what do I read?!
I ran across a prayer request for a family today on a blog. It hurt my heart and I want to share their story to ask for your thoughts and prayers for this family. This couple have an 18 month old daughter. The parents are in their 30's. The father was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. Then the mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer...a week later. They are undergoing chemo together all while trying to raise their daughter. I cannot even imagine what they are going through. Friends and family started a blog where people can donate money or just send them an encouraging note. The link is below.

Lastly, we get our new foster dog tonight! We will be leaving shortly to pick him/her up. I will do a whole post about it later.

I love Jodi Picoult! I'm currently reading The Help, but after I finish that, I plan on picking up a few of her books! I saw the same blog story about that family. SO Heartwrenching! They are in my prayers!
