Welcome ICLW!

I'm so excited for ICLW, this is my very first one and I can't wait to see what other blogs I can discover. I
l-o-v-e reading other blogs and taking a peek into someone else's life and see what makes them them. Let me give you a quick summary of what makes me tick...

I started a blog a few years back, but only really got into it this past year.
Have a great hubby and two cats, two dogs and rabbit that lives in our backyard.
I am a night nurse and have a messed up body schedule.
This current year has been marked with a chemical pregnancy as well as a miscarriage this past spring.
We are a foster home for a local animal shelter.
I love reading a good book, watching a TON of reality T.V. and surfing the internet.
I have taken up photography this past year (amateur for sure!).
Also this past year have gotten into building diaper cakes with a friend of mine.
I love meeting new people and reading new blogs!

There is so much more to me than the list above, but just read my blog and you will get a good idea of who I am.

Happy Saturday my friends,
Photobucket

Welcome to ICLW! I am so sorry to hear about the losses you've gone through this year. It is so hard to deal with multiple losses.

What kind of books do you like to read? I am a voracious reader and sometimes seam to inhale books.

What part of the hospital do you work in? I spent a number of years working as a paramedic and LOVED it. I've always thought I would enjoy ER work.

Hi Elise:

Welcome to ICLW! I think you'll like it. There are a lot of great blogs out there. We've been taking part in ICLW for several months now and it's pretty cool. I'm sure you'll like it. I'm sorry that you have had to face what you've had to face but you seem very positive and upbeat. I hope the best for you in the future and you grabbed my heart with the fact that you're a foster home for animals. I love that!

Visiting from ICLW...just wanting to give you a bit of encouragement. Being a nurse, you might understand better than most that with natural pregnancies there is statistically a 40% chance of miscarriage. That being said, depending on how long you have been trying, you may want to do a few things to increase your chances the next time you are pregnant. Please search my blog under "implantation failure" and "recurrent miscarriage" for a number of posts that are basically Q & A's from patients from around the world. There might be something useful there that you may not have been aware of that you can take with you to your next Ob/Gyn appt. www.womenshealthandfertilityblogspot.com
Good luck with your journey!

Hi Welcome to ICLW

I just had to say hi to your blog when i saw your interests were dogs! Isn't it funny how dog people connect :) This is also my first month at ICLW. I am sorry for the m/c and chemical pregnancy and hope the next one will stick.

Nice to meet you.

Since I'm taking this year off, I've considered fostering through the rescue where I got 2 of my dogs. My only worry is... letting them go. Isn't it so hard to give up a dog you've grown to love, even when you know he's going to a wonderful family???

It sounds like we have a lot in common. On the good side, a love of pets and wanting to help them! And a love to photgraph. On the badside... repeat losses.

Welcome to ICLW! Stop by my blog anytime, I will be following yours.

I love Washington. My DH's father lived in Richland for a time. :) And my sister lives in Vancouver, WA. (My hubby is also a nurse but couldn't hack nights!)
